I made this yesterday 
Not really my best area (woodwork and stuff) , but anyway I am quite pleased for saying I only had some wood, a tape measure and not a lot else...
There was nothing there before, put a post on the wall, set a concrete post in, fixed wood to that etc, made the gate (took ages for me to get it nice as I wanted the trellis work on top and get everything nice and level) , and then a quick coat of wood preserver before assembly. Need to give it another two coats I guess to make it look nice and just fit a catch.
