Funny Story

Greetings Everyone,
How is everyone today? Well I have a funny story to tell everyone about myself. It happened to me today. It will also show how I can sometimes be, well a little of my rocker (lol), I took Alex (my oldest son) back to his apartment late this afternoon, and while driving home I had the urge to go for a walk when I got home. I have 40 acres out here. So I get home and put my purse in the house and go out to set off on my walk. Dogs in tow. We start walking and I was in the clearing that is next to the woods that are on my property. Well I get the bright idea to try to go down into the woods. Now mind you the first time I attempted this a tree promptly smacked me in the face. So I said fine I won't go down there. Well now if anyone knows me they know me well enough that I usually end up doing things that I'm not supposed to anyway. So needless to say guess where I went. Well I had left my walking stick up at the top of the hill which was not a good idea (note to self will have to go back and get it). So anyhow I am walking around down there in the woods and then I notice it is getting dark pretty quickly and I really should head back. So I finally look up to see where I'm at and lo and behold I have no clue. All I see are trees and more trees. Now mind you I love nature but don't really walk around in it much so this was new to me. So here I go and call my friend for advice (love my cell phone). After she laughs at me for a while and then tells everyone else at her house and they laugh their wonderful advice for me getting myself out and unlost was to scream until someone heard me. Well I figured if I did that I would be there quite a while since I have no neighbors close by. So I decided to sit on a fallen tree and think for a minute. Well I started talking and asking that I get out of the situation I got myself in to. And then promptly thought about the tree that smacked me. I guess I should have listened. Well I no sooner finished talking and heard Merlin my big dog barking ahead of me so I started following him all the while complaining about the branches with thorns. And whining about it when all of a sudden I heard this howl behind me and then a whole bunch of them and realized there were coyotes out there. Not close enough to me but I didn't want to wait to find out how close they could get. So needless to say I started walking really fast and the sticky's didn't seem to bother me anymore. And I finally made it back to the house. I can promise you one thing. I won't be doing that again.

That is an adventure that you will never forget. I wish you learned your lesson and If you ever try to walk, have someone walking with you. At least when you get lost again you have someone to accompany you

LOL. You are so right. I will also make sure to take some marshmallows, graham crakers, and chocolate. But yes I really think I learned my lesson. The next time I go walking and a tree slaps me in the face I will promptly turn around and go back home. lol Have a great day.

The good thing about such experiences is that we will not forget them all through our life and share them with our friends. Of course not all of us have such experiences.
