After Christmas, my life would change.
Gone would be the days where I could sleep to my heart's content.
Gone would be the days where I had control over my time.
Gone would be the days where I could do TV marathons, chat the whole day, go out with friends.
This would be the last Christmas that I would get to spend with family for the next four years.
For I start my residency training in Obstetrics on the 26th of December.
My days would again then be classified into three days.
Duty Day - Wherein I am to spend 24 hour duty in the hospital.
Post Duty Day - The day after wherein we still stay in the hospital until everything is done.
Pre-Duty Day - The most benign day since this is mostly out-patient work and we get to go home by 5PM, if there is no toxic patient.
I'm dreading it because I know it would not be a walk in the park. But I'm also excited because getting into one of the most sought after residency programs in my country, in the National University Hospital is the fulfillment of one of my dreams.

All the best and all your dreams would come true. Almighty is great and he will be with you at all times. You will at the same time spend more time with your family too.

That is one sacrifice you have to do to achieve your dream. I hope you can make it. I hear that you are also from the Philippines? I am! Where do you stay? I hope to read your reply thanks and have a nice day.
