This sites loading speed, how is it for you ?

Does it load reasonably quickly ? (compared to other sites you visit and your general connection speed)


Things are slow here for me at the moment (but i have some kind of router issue i think) as its everywhere i visit.

DT is by far the slowest forum for us.

then when the page does come up its the page cant be displayed thing

its not my pc, cos we have just bought a new one. all other forums work fine

its getting to the point we dont even come on here anymore cos it takes ages just to get onto the forum index page

can i do anything to make it better?

It shouldnt be that slow! ... I find its about halfway between fast and slow for me for all the sites I visit often (your forum being normally the fastest loading and vzi sometimes being the slowest but that could be due to the huge ammount of peeps on)

I have checked the ping (response) times from here and they are a bit slow (136ms) , i would expect about 40-50 to be honest.

Have just checked with some other sites i know that are hosted by the same people (on different servers) and they are about 130 too...

We are using hosting in the US though... We could get a cheaper deal in the UK now i expect

Il have a closer look into this Nic. But you shouldnt be geting any page not found errors at all.

Ive made a small change. Let me know if things improve (or not) please

Although i will say this site isnt as fast as it should be (its not slow for me either) , i expect the server is getting too busy now (too many peeps hosted on it) . It may be time to move again ( ) later this year...
