Even something as simple as helping an older person across the street is charity, feeding a stray animal a meal is also a type of charity.
Anyone who says that they can not give any charity is probably thinking of the monetary kind of charity, but there are still plenty of other ways of helping out those who are in need.

The act of giving is to be highly appreciated. Giving becomes all the more important if it is done from our hard earnings. There is a belief among the philanthropists that 5% of our earnings should be given in charity.

I love to repeat that Charity begins at home. If one has got that intention then it will slowly spread to his neighbors and then it become spreading to the local and become a phenomena.

Charity is pretty much anything that you want it to be, from offering a friend or stranger a cake, to taking the time to help a neighbor fix his car for free.
You may not always get something in return, besides knowing that you did something good and you should feel quite proud of that much.

Charity that has got a tag of hope attached to it is not charity at all as rightly pointed out. It is very sad to see that in some instances we see charity is being done in expectation of something in return.
